Emma scares me. At her age she now knows that if she want to go somewhere that she can’t reach, she can stack things and increase her height by standing on those. Her favorite spot? the kitchen, you know that place in your house where all the knives, breakable plates, boiling pots, etc. Aside from that she loves stacking things and then jumping from that height. She hits her head occasionally because of her dare devil feats and it drives me nuts.
She loves to run. Not just jog-run but run run. One time she ran so fast and wasnt able to stop in time she left bloody marks all over the door that she hit. cried for two seconds then started running all over again.
Can I blame her? I’ve had my share of the crazies as well. I was probably 4 or 5, we visited my Grandparents house in Zamboanga. After playing with my cousins, I run up the nipa hut and asked for water. They said there was none, my lolo was still fetching it from the well. I saw a container of what seemed to be a clear liquid opened it, drank .. next thing i know i was in the hospital … turns out it was kerosene. I can remember the doctors sticking a tube on my mouth to suck out the kerosene. Made me drink milk of Magnesia so it would neutralize it. well, I’m here now blogging, alive and kicking.
I was such a playful kid when I was a child … it even reflects now. Maybe I shouldn’t worry too much about Emma.
Maybe.
