• web 2.0

  So much hubbub about this particular buzzword but it simply means the next (second?) generation of applications that you can use over the web. Found below are a couple of  web 2.0 applications that I can't seem to live without.

  • Gmail - souped up webmail with 2.5GB storage and rising
  
  
  • Google Calendar - Collaborative Web based calendar
  
  
  • meebo - browser based IM
  
  
  • Google Docs and Spreadsheets - Word and Excel for multiple users
  
  
  • Google Maps 
  
  
  • Movable Type - Blogging Software

  • Yahoo! Mail - Beta
  
  
  • Flickr - Web Album
  
  
  • BlueTie - Enterprise wide collaborative tools

  Apps I would like to get my hands on:
  
  

  
  
  • Zimbra - A better version of BlueTie
  
  
  • Goowy - Just like BlueTie and Zimbra but so much more
