  • New Desktop Background

I’ve been hunting for a new Desktop background and I just found one. Toto calls it “Light and Shade”. Check out his blog. Very cool.

Here’s a snapshot of my desktop with “Light and Shade”.

  • rate hikes

    • Gas is always increasing … stupid OPEC … we might as well as blame Bush on this one.
    • Stamps are going to increase again … from 39 cents to 41 cents .. again this is Bush’s fault
    • NJTransit is also going to increase its rates by June … 10% increase!!! … you guessed it … it’s dubya’s fault.

i’m really getting peeved with all these increases.  they are slowly chipping away at my PS3 fund, Emma going to college Fund, getting Marchesa her masters Fund. Darn it.

Since everyone is blaming the president for everything, I might as well as join the bandwagon and blame him for my 1 sack abs.

some people just don’t have the concept of government and governance. Go read a book or something.

  • a blast from the past

I am very happy to announce the launching of sjbci.org v1.0. Muchos thanks to Marchesa for handling the content delivery and graphics for the site and to Stephanie for taking care of the design.

We encourage everyone to check out our site and if you are in the area come over and visit our church. I will blog about the “extensive” features of the site in the coming days.

  • duuuuuude … adobo!

I was minding my own business and trying not to think about food when i was “working” on an enhancement for the nytimes website and by chance i came across this article.

FARE OF THE COUNTRY; ADOBO: SPICY STEW OF THE PHILIPPINES

This article was written 21 years ago and my mouth is just salivating like kuh-ray-zee.

  • crazy things that go through my head

i was walking up seventh avenue towards times square. i saw a starbucks shop and kept a mental note to drop by and get the new green tea latte for 2.25 ducks. it was a mental note for a reason. I was along that huge button and needle structure when i saw the New York Times tower at the corner of my eye and saw the port authority building from afar. Something popped in my head and remembered that there’s a new york blood center inside the port authority building.

i guess the incessant calls by the blood center got stuck in my head and i just walked in and gave blood.

totally forgot about the green tea latte.

  • sjbci.org enhancements

folks, here are the new features for sjbci.org.

    • YB page is finally up(sjbci.org/yb or pages.sjbci.org/yb or yb.sjbci.org). It’s on  the way to being more interactive. Marchesa hates forums so were gonna have to find other ways to promote user based content in that site. Drop us a note if you have suggestions. Click here for the page.
    • A link to SJBCI webmail is finally up on the SJBCI Homepage. We are using this mail for official purposes so if you are not an officer you probably won’t get any. So officers, bug me so I can set up your accounts.

Future features that are being considered include:

    • An Audio/Video Podcast
      • for Pastor Ding’s Weekly sermons
      • for the Weekly Praise and Worship
      • Young Believers Guest Speaker Testimonies
    • Site Redesign, we need a more consistent layout and theme in order to present our content.

We need the following VOLUNTEERS (Because we can’t afford to pay you)

    1. Web Designer.
      • If you live and breathe CSS,HTML and Javascript and have a passion for volunteer work we need you.
    2. Content Management Engineer
      • Someone who know the ins and outs of open source CMS (Joomla, etc.)
    3. Members who are willing to contribute content (Devotions and such). Our in house Editor will proofread your work before we publish it.

Finally, we are excited for the upcoming days, months and years to come and see how our site will evolve for the purpose of His kingdom.
